Luke David Brammer was born April 2, 2012, at 9:17 a.m.  He weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz.   Mom, baby, and family are doing fine!   Mrs. Liberty expects to return to teaching the Monday after Labor Day.  Meanwhile, student teachers are accepting new students for the summer.

Mrs. Liberty is expecting her second child (a boy) due on or before April 2, 2012.   Birth Announcements will be posted here and also at www.facebook.com/LibertysPianoStudio.   Mrs. Liberty Brammer will not be having lessons in Shrewsbury starting March 26th through the end of August.  She plans to return in September, the Monday after Labor Day, as usual.   Student teachers will still be teaching  throughout the summer, and Liberty will also be available throughout the summer at her Cockeysville, MD, location.  If you are interested in piano lessons, please contact Liberty through the Contact Page.  Wanted:  Mrs. Brammer is still looking for another qualified piano teacher to teach at Liberty’s Piano Studio.  Pass the word around– maybe you know someone that knows someone!

Liberty’s Piano Studio is happy to announce that we now offer flute lessons!   Sarah Hood has taken flute lessons for 6 years, and piano lessons for 8 years.  She will be a Senior at Susquehannock High School, and has played in the high school band, marching band, and orchestra.  Her other interests include softball and swimming.    If you are interested in learn more about flute lessons for the summer or fall, please contact Liberty through the Contact page.

Liberty’s Piano Studio in the Shrewsbury / York, PA, area is looking for a piano teacher beginning September 1, 2011.  Thursday is the preferred day, though this may be flexible, with 5-10 students to start.  Experience teaching intermediate students is desirable.  Training may be provided for the right candidate.  Professionalism and willingness to learn are required.  Please contact Liberty through the Contact Page for an interview if you are interested.  Thank you!

Liberty’s Piano Studio is excited to announce that it will have a Patriotic Recital at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2010, at Grace Bible Church in New Freedom, PA  The recital is open to the public, and refreshments will be served afterwards.  Please Contact Liberty through the Contact Page for more information, or see the flyer below.  This is the first recital combining the students of teachers Liberty Brammer, Katie Burtt, Melissa Shallcross, Keila Zanella, and Todd Baer.

Melissa Shallcross is a tenth grader at Susquehannock High School who loves music.  She has been playing the piano for 7 years— since third grade when Mrs. Liberty became her piano teacher.  At school, she participated in Southern Middle School’s Jazz Band for both 7th and 8th grade, playing the keyboard for them for two fun years.  For the winter of 2010, she is playing the synthesizer for Stewartstown United Methodist Church’s Company of Praise.  The first person to teach at Liberty’s Piano Studio besides Liberty, Melissa has been teaching piano there for nearly 2 years.  Outside of piano, Melissa enjoys soccer and track & field.  She participates in Girl Scouts and enjoys skiing as well.
